The 75 hours Jivamukti Yoga Teacher Training
This training is organised over ten days, either in one go or in a weekend format. It is organised by the local Jivamukti schools, for example by us. It is suitable for all those who are interested in a longer yoga training, e.g. the Jivamukti 300 training, as well as for all those who already teach and want to continue their training.
The very practical curriculum is structured in such a way that in these ten days you will learn the philosophical and methodological foundations of the Jivamukti Yoga method as well as how to teach the Jivamukti Spiritual Warrior sequence.
You may officially teach this sequence after an optional subsequent examination, but you may not call yourself a "Jivamukti Yoga teacher". If you decide to do a 300-hour training course after the 75 hours, the fee for the 75 hours will be credited towards the training price up to 100%.
The 300 hours Jivamukti Yoga Teacher Training
This training is one of the most renowned basic yoga training programmes currently available. It forms the basis for officially teaching Jivamukti Yoga, doing the JTAP programme and later taking the Advanced Certified Jivamukti Yoga Teacher exam.
The international training is designed as a four-week intensive course in an ashram or other retreat centre, is organised by Jivamukti Yoga Global and is held in English. Alternatively, you can complete it online over a period of up to three months. During these intensive four weeks, you will be supervised by the training leaders and several mentors, get to know Jivamukti Yoga in theory and practice from the ground up and learn how to pass on the method.
After this training you are equipped to work as a yoga teacher; you are officially authorised to teach all Jivamukti Yoga classes and to call yourself a "Jivamukti Yoga teacher".
The +500 hour Jivamukti Teacher Apprenticeship Programme (JTAP)
The JTAP is for all those who want to further professionalise themselves as teachers, develop their own teaching personality and learn the finer points of teaching yoga. You complete the JTAP on site in a Jivamukti Yoga School of your choice with a mentor of your choice. All Advanced Certified Jivamukti Yoga teachers who teach in a Jivamukti Yoga school are allowed to accept and mentor Apprentices.
Over the course of several months, you will practise intensively, train in philosophy, asana and teaching methodology, assist in your mentor's classes and deepen your knowledge in hands-on assists.

Yoga Teacher Training Berlin - Immersions with Senior Teachers
An immersion is an intensive workshop, for example a long weekend, which is taught by a Jivamukti Yoga senior teacher. The immersions are suitable for all interested yogis who may also be thinking about training, as well as for further training for all Jivamukti Yoga teachers.
Immersions usually have a special practice theme and address this in the intensive asana practice as well as in workshop parts and theoretical units.

The Advanced Certification
You do not receive this certification through further training, but by passing an examination ("Advanced Board Exam"). With the Advanced Certificate you are authorised to open a Jivamukti Yoga school yourself and to mentor apprentices at an official Jivamukti school.
The examination is conducted by three senior teachers and always follows the same procedure. It contains a practical and a theoretical part.
All Jivamukti Yoga teachers can register (they do not necessarily have to have completed the JTAP). If such an exam is coming up in our studio, you will be informed on the event page.

How long does the yoga teacher training programme take?
Ultimately, you learn for a lifetime and it makes sense to never see yourself as finished in order to remain open to new things. A 10-day Jivamukti Yoga training course in Berlin is the first step. This is followed by a 4-week Jivamukti training course that takes place offline and online several times a year at different locations. Afterwards there is the opportunity to continue learning in an intensive mentorship programme in Berlin.
Which yoga training is recognised?
The profession of yoga teacher is not protected in Germany and therefore has no prescribed characteristics. Anyone can call themselves a yoga teacher. There are various organisations, such as the Yoga Alliance, that attempt to certify training courses. From our point of view, they do not offer much added value, so Jivamukti Yoga has deliberately decided against certification. With the Choosing a yoga training programme it all depends on your personal interests and connections. Only train with people you want to learn from and in a method that suits you and that you practise regularly.
