Some consider music in yoga to be untraditional. Others find it inspiring and supportive. But what does tradition really say? the <strong>eternal, undefeated sound<\/strong>, which always exists \u2013 a metaphor for enlightenment and deep inner perception.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column during the asanas.<\/strong> Nada yogis often do not work with asanas at all, but rather with sound as a spiritual practice.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns e-con-inner is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 has-text-align-left\">Music in the Indian yoga tradition<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Even independently of Nada Yoga, sound plays a role in <a href=\"https:\/\/peaceyoga.de\/en\/\">Yoga<\/a> always played a central role:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Singing mantras<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Recitation of Vedic texts<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>traditional Indian music<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Sounds convey knowledge, accompany rituals and create structure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>However:<\/strong> Historical evidence for asana practice <em>with<\/em> There is no music. Nor is there any evidence that one can <em>none<\/em> Play music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There is therefore no \u201etraditional prohibition\u201c.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns e-con-inner is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column wrapper-blog is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:1140px\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns are-vertically-aligned-center wrapper-blog is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-vertically-aligned-center is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Asana sequences are themselves a modern development.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The modern form of Vinyasa Flow \u2013 that is:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>fluid sequences<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>synchronised with breathing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>dynamic asana sequences<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>... is historically speaking <strong>very young<\/strong>. For thousands of years, asana practice was hardly comparable to its current form. Silence, on the other hand, can sharpen perception and make inner sounds audible.
