Long holds and silence raise real questions. Many teachers who usually hold a strong vinyāsa class know the quiet worry of a room drifting into sleep.

This program meets those questions directly and in full alignment with the method. Over four days you practice and teach the format from the inside. Restore & Renew can then become a natural part of your weekly teaching and a counterweight to Open and Spiritual Warrior classes.

A practice of rest that stays awake

Restore & Renew weaves gentle vinyāsa, prāṇāyāma, chanting, meditation, guided relaxation and restorative āsana into one arc. Its roots lie in Vinyāsa Krama, Nāda, Dhyāna, Bhakti and Ahiṃsā. We look closely at where the format meets Yin-like practices and where it follows its own logic. That way you can explain it clearly to your students and to the studios you teach for.

Your facilitators

Andrea Kwiatkowski and Moritz Ulrich are two of the main contributors to the Jivamukti Restore & Renew curriculum. Both have taught slower formats for many years.

Andrea Kwiatkowski is an Advanced Jivamukti Yoga Teacher and has taught Jivamukti Yoga since 2005. She runs her own Jivamukti Yoga studio and mentors in Jivamukti Teacher Trainings.

Moritz Ulrich is a Senior Advanced Jivamukti Yoga Teacher, teacher trainer and licensed physician. He co-founded Peace Yoga Berlin and has taught yoga for more than 20 years. His medical background grounds the nervous system content of this program in solid physiology.

How the program unfolds

The 50 hours unfold in three phases. All three are part of the certification.

Preparation · 14 days before the training
You work through self-guided online material. Daily breath awareness and reflection practices help you arrive already attuned to your own nervous system.

In person · 27 to 30 May 2027
You spend 32 hours over four full days at Peace Yoga Berlin, Glogauer Straße 19, 10999 Berlin. Each day opens with mantra and meditation and moves through a complete Restore & Renew class. In the afternoons we turn to theory and partner teaching. The days run from 8:00 to 18:00. Times may be adjusted slightly.

Integration · after the training
You complete homework and submit recorded teaching videos. Andrea and Moritz give you personal feedback on them.

What you will be able to teach

A complete Restore & Renew class of 60 to 90 minutes, with a clear arc from centering to integration

Chanting and intention setting in a restorative context

Prāṇāyāma practices that calm the system while keeping the mind clear

Gentle vinyāsa sequences that follow Vinyāsa Krama and prepare the body for stillness

More than 25 restorative āsanas, including supported inversions, in prop-supported and prop-light variations

The 3-Step Meditation and guided relaxation

Bolsters, blankets, blocks and straps, used skillfully for different bodies and sensitivities

What you will understand

Basic principles of nervous system regulation and the role of the vagus nerve in breath, sound and rest

How to tell restful presence apart from dissociation and from lethargy

Hold times and transitions, and the reasoning behind them

When to speak and when to stay silent, so you hold space with just the right amount of guidance

How the 5 Tenets and the Focus of the Month live in a restorative class

How to offer dharma reflections and storytelling in a way that settles the room

How to regulate your own nervous system before you teach

What you take home

Four complete Restore & Renew sequences, one from each day, ready to teach and refine

Templates for class structure, timing, pose selection and breath integration

Language to introduce slow classes with confidence

50 Continuing Education hours certified through Jivamukti Yoga Global

Who this program is for

This program is open exclusively to Jivamukti Yoga Teachers who hold a completed 300h certification or higher by the start of the training on 27 May 2027.

You will feel at home here if you

teach mostly Open and Spiritual Warrior classes and long for a counterweight

have Restore & Renew in your toolbox and rarely take it out

want to understand what happens in the nervous system when a room settles into rest

are ready to slow down yourself, as a practitioner and as a teacher

Restore & Renew supports regulation through practice. Clinical and trauma-specific work lie outside its scope.

What participants say

I feel less intimidated by silence when I teach. Even if you have a Jivamukti TT, you can always benefit from seeing some aspects of the method from another perspective, and you start teaching parts of the sequence to the other students from the very first day.

Tina Drepanioti

Ultimately, this is another Jivamukti class, with the same ultimate intention, and the five tenets are just as relevant. If you are looking to broaden your Jivamukti skillset beyond the core class formats, this is the training for you.

Schalk Viljoen

I have already integrated the Restore & Renew practice into several of my classes and received very positive feedback. Even students who usually prefer a stronger, more dynamic vinyāsa practice noticed how nourishing it was, and the gentle Vinyāsa Krama at the beginning made the transition into a different kind of practice much easier for them.

Christiane Braun-Walker

What stays with me most is the realization that regulation never happens by chance. It grows from a very conscious way of preparing the space, from language and from timing. I was deeply impressed by how fully the teachers embody this work. You could feel in every moment that they truly live this method.

Theresa Froschhäuser

I found a new way into the Jivamukti method. The meaning of space, of silence and spirituality, the role of the breath: much of what I had understood with my mind, I was able to grasp with my heart here.

Irmgard Nolte

I have always taught fast-paced Open classes. The training gave me the structure and the courage to step into a practice I love and believe has immense positive effects on practitioners. I will also bring some of its elements into my vinyāsa classes.

Giulia Troiani

Investment

Early bird rate for the first registrations: €899

[Register now]

Questions

Can I join while I am still completing my 300h certification?
Your 300h certification needs to be completed before the training begins on 27 May 2027.

Is there an online option?
The four training days take place in person in Berlin.
