Many people ask themselves: How do I actually become a Jivamukti yoga teacher? Perhaps you already practise yoga, have already completed another training course or are simply enthusiastic about the Jivamukti method. The path to becoming a Jivamukti yoga instructor leads through various training levels - from the first introduction to the advanced exam.
Here you will find an overview of the individual steps and what to expect in each case.
The most important facts about the Jivamukti Yoga Teacher Training programme in brief:
- Step-by-step to becoming a teacher: From the 75h entry level to the 800h certificate - each level builds on the previous one.
- Holistic training: Asana, philosophy, mantra, meditation and ethics - yoga as a lived practice.
- Internationally recognised: After the 300-hour training course, you will be a certifiedr Jivamukti Yoga Teacherin and part of a global community.

The 75-hour training programme - introduction and inspiration
The 75-hour training programme is a ten-day introduction into the Jivamukti method. The focus is on Spiritual Warrior Classa fixed sequence that you can also teach yourself at the end of the training.
Who is it suitable for?
- Beginners who want to delve deeper into the method.
- Yoga teachers of other traditions who are looking for new impulses.
- People who do not (yet) want to teach, but would like to deepen their practice.
The training is hands-on: mutual teaching, alignment, hands-on assists, mantras and discussions on the basics of yoga. After these ten days, many participants surprisingly discover the desire to teach themselves.
Special feature: If you register for the 300-hour training course within one year, the participation fee for the 75-hour training course will be credited in full.
The 300-hour training - the basis for Jivamukti teachers
The four-week intensive training programme is the central building block of the Jivamukti Yoga Teacher Training. It provides you with the knowledge, skills and experience you need to officially call yourself a Jivamukti yoga teacher.
Procedure:
- In the morning: meditation, mantra or sutra study.
- Mornings/evenings: asana practice, workshops, lectures.
- Deepening: two full days of Sanskrit, two full days of anatomy, philosophy, chanting, satsang.
- Daily vegan meal together.
- Evenings with rituals (e.g. Arati) and sharing in the community.

- Daily from morning to evening (approx. 8-22 hrs).
- Intensive learning and practice time in a close-knit community.

This training is challenging, transformative and not a retreat - it demands your full attention and dedication.

The Apprenticeship Programme - 800 hours of experience
The 300-hour training programme is followed by the Apprenticeship programme (approx. 500 hours), an individual mentoring programme with an Advanced Jivamukti teacher. You will be closely supervised for four months, teach classes, receive feedback and further develop your practical teaching skills.
Important: Participation is only possible after the 300-hour training. Together with this, it forms the 800-hour training, the most comprehensive certificate of the Jivamukti method.

The Advanced Board - the highest level
The Advanced Board is an examination that can be taken after the 300-hour training programme (recommended after the apprenticeship). If you pass this exam, you are authorised:

- to become part of the international training team,
- to pass on the method at the highest level.
This level is intended for those who want to go particularly deep and carry on the teaching in the long term.
