About the Training

The Jivamukti Restore & Renew Teacher Training is a 50-hour specialisation for yoga teachers who want to teach with confidence slow, restorative, nervous system-supportive classes within the framework of the Jivamukti Yoga method.

Led by two advanced Jivamukti Yoga Teachers with extensive experience in teaching slower-paced classes, as well as having been the two main contributors to the Jivamukti Restore & Renew curriculum. Andrea Kwiatkowski and Moritz Ulrich are two experts in the field of creating spaces for deep rest.

Restore & Renew is one of the standardised Jivamukti class formats — yet many teachers avoid teaching it.

It feels slower, quieter, less “performative” than Open or Spiritual Warrior classes, and often raises questions around silence, props, long holds, and how to keep the practice awake rather than sleepy.

This training is designed to answer those questions — practically, clearly, and in alignment with the method.

While Yin Yoga has become a widely used term for slow and long-held practices, Restore & Renew follows a different, more expansive logic:

it integrates gentle vinyāsa, breathwork, chanting, meditation, guided relaxation, and restorative āsana — rooted in Vinyāsa Krama, Nāda, Dhyāna, Bhakti, and Ahiṃsā.

You will learn where Restore & Renew overlaps with Yin-like practices, where it differs, and how to teach it. with confidence and integrity.

Training Structure (50 hours total)

  • 32 hours in person (4 full days)
  • Online preparation before the training
  • Post-training homework & integration
  • Certificate of attendance upon completion

The depth, transmission, and skill-building happen in person.

Online material supports preparation and integration — it does not replace the training.

Teacher

  • Senior - Advanced Certified JIVAMUKTI YOGA Teacher
Co-Director Peace Yoga Berlin, Medical Doctor

Moritz is a Berlin-based advanced certified Jivamukti Yoga teacher, founder of the Jivamukti Yoga School Peace Yoga, creator of online courses for yoga students and teachers and facilitator, anatomy and Sanskrit teacher for the international Jivamukti Yoga teacher trainings.

Moritz has been teaching yoga for over 17 years and made it his main profession after successfully completing his medical studies. Having first come to yoga through mysticism, philosophy and esotericism, he now integrates his knowledge into physically and mentally challenging asana classes, which are accompanied by an inspiring soundtrack and heart-warming chanting of mantras and kirtan.

To this day, his teachers are Sharon Gannon and David Life, the founders of the Jivamukti Yoga method, from whom he regularly learns and to whom he is deeply grateful that they have paved the way for him to walk on today.

Moritz is also grateful for all the other wonderful teachers he has had the opportunity to learn from, including Ana Froest, Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa, Bryan Kest, Manorama, Gitta Kistenmacher and Dr Patrick Broome.

"My greatest wish is that I can support others in using the tools of yoga practice to experience a sense of primal trust that leads to the realisation of their true potential, which is infinite and filled with more limitless joy. I am convinced that yoga is not for everyone, but only for those who are interested and open to it. But yoga always welcomes them. I feel truly honoured to have been given the opportunity to be of service to others on this adventure to the state of yoga, the state of being one with our true self again."

PS: A vegan diet is the best yoga practice and perhaps the most important.
