In this workshop, we will focus on learning assists for different groups of asanas and on developing them further independently. Not every body needs the same assist and when you see a body you need to develop the skill to choose an assist for this body.

The goal is to enable teachers to confidently create their own assists or to clearly understand which assist is appropriate in which situation.

When you understand the energetic direction and alignment of an asana, it becomes easier to offer the practitioner the best possible support. Assisting is not about correcting a student. It is about supporting the energetic direction of an asana.

You will learn how to create grounding and stability through simple yet effective placements of the body, hands, and feet. We will also focus on how to move and breathe mindfully while assisting in order to protect your own body.

This workshop is suitable for teachers and interested practitioners. You don't need to bring a lot of assisting experience. Curiosity is definitely recommended. We will also practise assisting several Asanas in a row, like in an In-Class-Private. All will be guided.

Find the answers by living into the questions. Authentic and real, the practice gives new clues every day. The experience of yoga is highly personal and individual. Dana began practising yoga in 2006 and realised early on that there was more for her to discover than the purely physical practice. She immerses herself deeply in all experiences, all lows and all highs. Feeling connected is what becomes possible. Music is a great passion and is used as a tool in her classes. The experience becomes deeper, more real and more powerful.
First and foremost, Dana sees herself as a student. She passes on what she learns - without filters and only from her own experience. She cannot teach what she has not experienced. She thanks her teachers, who give her new impulses every day to go deeper and still stay light. Especially her mentor Rima Rabbath. On daysofyoga.com she blogs with Ulrike Schäfer about yoga on and off the mat.
